Behavioral measures of mutual information and metric content

Information theory has been successfully applied to the problem of decoding neurophysiological data obtained from single cell recordings. Here, I discuss the rationale of the method and show how to adapt it to behavioral data in order to obtain a better description and quantification of performance in forced choice classification tasks.
