DOI: https://doi.org/Early pregnancy loss is a significant concern in obstetric practice, defined by the World Health Organization as the spontaneous termination of pregnancy before 20 weeks of gestation or with the expulsion of a fetus weighing less than 500 grams. Clinically recognized early pregnancy loss occurs in about 10% of pregnancies, with approximately 80% of these losses taking place during the first trimester. Age plays a critical role, with miscarriage rates rising from 9–17% in women aged 20–30 years to over 80% in those aged 45 years [1].
